I was born in ontario, canada on a June morning in 1984
where i spent the next twenty-five years with my nose in various books,
scribbling away in my many journals, making up dance routines to spice girls
songs with my cousins, or out on the soccer field. i studied marketing in
college, graduated in 2007 and still have yet to work in the field. In 2010,
with a not-so-little push from my very friendly boss along with who would
eventually become my sister-in-law, i was introduced to a driven and
hard-working thirty-something Italian from las vegas. in the blink of an eye –
after emails turned into phone calls turned into trips – he proposed, and four
short months later in january 2011 i packed up my life and moved to las vegas, nevada. we were married that april. In march 2013 we welcomed our baby boy, DJ, who along with our spunky cat, simcoe, made our life and family complete.
i began blogging in 1999 after teaching myself HTML, mostly
to share the endless amounts of fiction and (eek! – total geek moment here) fan
fiction that i was producing at a ridiculous rate. while i may not share
fiction here anymore, i definitely blabber on about everyday life and what it
means to be a stay-at-home mom with her first child. In 2014 I was a part of
the totally inspiring official project life
creative team and love sharing my project life albums and related
inspiration. i’m also known to ramble on and on about anything from home décor
and DIY to organization and gardening, and i’m a firm believer that everything
looks different by the bottom of a cup of good, hot coffee.
i'm a creative, head-in-the-clouds, too dependent on caffeine, impulsive type of woman. reading a good book on the couch sounds much more appealing to me than a party and i live for weekends spent with my family. i'm always on the lookout for my next adventure, the next place to see and the next photograph to take.
